Daddy's turn

I've recently started back at work full time so Edward has been enjoying lots of time with Daddy as he works from home.
I thought I'd give you an insight into his nappy experience and asked him to give me a few comments......bear in mind up until now the nappy responsibilties were taken on by myself so he very rarely changed a nappy!
So, from a Dad's point of view....what do I want in a nappy? the main thing I look for is if it's going to do the job, how easy it is to get onto a wiggling toddler and how difficult said wiggling toddler will find it to remove. Asthetics don't really apply to many Dad's (well not me anyway) unless you can get me a nappy covered in my favourite band or maybe even a Blackadder inspired nappy? I find the simplest nappies to use are poppered nappies which require a poppered ''PUL'' wrap and a microfibre insert that is topped with a lovel soft fabric, we use fleece liners too so Edward stays nice and dry.
We do have a stash of simple, but reliable nappies - although Kerry prefers the all singing all dancing ones with funky designs and fabric, I'm sure her main need with a nappy is if it is squishy enough!
We also use reuseable wipes which is great as we save more money and we can bung them in the machine with the nappies. I love that we are saving so much money and using nappies that won't have such a negative effect on the environment. We do sometimes tumble dry our nappies but when I add it up it still costs less than disposables.
